BIOGRAPHY
With my work I invite you to deepen the expression of my emotions, past and present, as well as my voids and strengths;
I show feelings and memories. My characteristic palette of ocher and reddish is due to my roots. Symbols like the sun and the
moon -which represent Mexico- are a constant. Movements in figures and staring eyes allow the
observer. The heart expresses my character. With the fish I reiterate my love for the sea. Through these elements I express themes
like love and sadness, both memories of my life. This is how I try to influence others, I seek to transcend, to remain in the memory of the spectators. My art is my family history,
In it I find motivation to paint what I cannot say or write with words.
My parents were simple and humble people, they taught me that with work and effort you can get ahead. This is part
of my training and my values. I am a responsible and educated person, thanks to my family's education.
I had a privileged youth, surrounded by good friends who helped me find my way. Like all young people,
many questions... wanting to find quick answers.
Married, a couple of children; My family is the driving force behind everything I do. In them I find how to increase my virtues, such as
justice and gratitude. I describe myself as a simple man who is amazed by simple things. I find it easy to do
friendships, when interacting with others I try to show the values with which I identify and follow. I know how to adapt to
any circumstance. In love with my Mexican roots. No worries, always happy. I like the processes
creative: architecture, drawing, painting, cooking and baking. I enjoy exercising, listening to music and doing sudoku.
I studied architecture under the influence of my half brother and as part of a personal challenge because during high school I realized
He says that he was very bad at drawing freehand or doing perspectives. I consider Architecture an area in which
taking into account form, aesthetics and functionality.
I started drawing since I was given a punishment in Perspective class, I wanted to make a very simple drawing to
save myself work and the teacher forced me to make this, a quarry sundial, really look like it, which was very difficult. TO
From then on I didn't stop painting. The color came years later. Based on the criticism of some friends, I focused on a more
abundant but faithful to me. So my initial technique was Pencil, later Acrylic, both on paper.
I am a self-taught painter. It is a form of expression to be able to show what I believe and think, I express my personal story. it gives me
a lot of peace and calm. I have always seen art as human nature of communication, a way of mediating between
people. Art is not only about mastering a technique, it has to be hand in hand with the moment, and wanting what you want.
express (inspiration). It can be anywhere, with any material. When I started I tried to copy works by artists like
Botero, Picasso, Chagal, Tamayo, among others. I found inspiration in them, I made sketches of their works to understand the
color technique. Another artist from whom I have received influence is the photographer Manuel Alvarez Bravo for the themes he touches on in his
job.
My work is influenced by my father, stories from his childhood, his poverty, as well as his pride in having an indigenous relative,
That's why the Pencils are townspeople; My palette has the intention of getting closer to the tones of indigenous skin. It inspires me
Modigliani for the way he expresses himself. I think inspiration from other artists shows that art generates more art. My
Inspiration comes from the everyday life of the people I surround myself with, wife, children, people I meet on the street, who
They leave a mark on me, conversations that I engage in with those I live with. The trips to Michoacán that I made during my
childhood, specifically to Pátzcuaro, more than the place, the impact comes from the people who live there.
I try to ensure that my work does not lack: a heart, as an important piece of people's goodness; a tear, for how easy or difficult
what life can be; a fish, for my love of the sea; the sun and the moon, for the meaning of the word Mexico in the indigenous language
Nahuatl.
I start with a particular idea and work on it in different versions until I find a new idea to develop. Is
easy for people to identify with my work, because of everyday themes in a different way.
Detachment, giving everything you have for the people you love. Passion for what you do. An important part of love is
friendship. Never let yourself be defeated, always try, work, don't care what people think or say. Transcend,
leave something, be part of people's memory.
I would like to be remembered as a person who always enjoyed any situation, as a happy and simple man.
